Management of Al-Mansour Center for Studies and Research



Center Management:
The center is managed by a teaching staff with the rank of assistant professor at the bottom and who holds a doctorate degree. He is appointed by the college's dean from those with expertise in the scientific departments of the college. He enjoys all the rights and privileges enjoyed by the head of the scientific department in the college in accordance with Article 3 of the Research Centers and Units Regulations No. 1 of the year 1995. The Center has a council headed by the Center’s Director and whose membership includes officials from the research cells that make up the Center, which are:

  • Economic, administrative, and accounting research cell.
  • Engineering Research and Information Systems Cell
  • Legal Research and Digital Media Cell.
  • The college dean appoints two college teachers for a renewable two-year period.


Duties of the Center’s Board of Directors:

  • Proposing the center’s general policy in the scientific, administrative, and financial fields
  • Proposing a scientific plan for research and ways to implement it.
  • Determine the number of research hours for the plan’s research according to the instructions of the Scientific Researcher Structure No. 148 of 2002.
  • Contracting with institutional or personal bodies to prepare some priority research for the center’s specializations
  • Discuss annual work progress reports and recommend the approval of the annual report on the center’s activity.
  • Recommending the establishment of scientific relations with other official or private bodies related to the center’s specializations.


Duties of the center director

  • Managing the center’s affairs from scientific aspects and submitting recommendations to the college dean
  • Representing the center in scientific activities inside and outside Iraq
  • Implementing the decisions of the Center Council
  • Preparing the centre’s draft annual budget.
  • Recommending the nomination of the center’s members to participate in scientific activities
  • Approval to publish the center’s research plan.
