Today, the Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Dr. Burhan Al-Qaisi, accompanied by the Director General of the Prison Reform Department, Dr. Majid Manthoor, paid an official visit to Al-Mansour University College (MUC). The meeting addressed the opening of study programs for inmates within the Iraqi Reform Department, aiming to enhance social reintegration and establish an educational pathway that supports reform.

The visit also featured a discussion on mechanisms to revitalize and develop prison libraries in cooperation with the Iraqi Association for Libraries and Information. This initiative seeks to bolster the culture of reading and knowledge within correctional institutions and consolidate the role of books as tools for personal growth and awareness.

The delegation was received by the Dean of Al-Mansour University College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mohammed Kallow, and the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Shaker Salman. The visit underscored the importance of integration between educational institutions and government bodies in supporting humanitarian reform projects. These efforts aim to transform prisons into conscious, productive environments grounded in education and knowledge.
