On Wednesday, corresponding to December 7, 2022, and under the slogan (School libraries are an essential resource for achieving the goals of sustainable development), the first scientific forum for school libraries was held, which was held by the Iraqi Association for Libraries and Information in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Al-Mansour University College, and in the presence of women members of the House of Representatives represented by His Excellency Representative Dr. Zaytoun Al-Dulaimi, President The Parliamentary Education Committee and His Excellency the Deputy Dr. Madiha Al-Moussawi, the representative of His Excellency the Minister of Education Dr. Riyad Abdullah, Director General of Curricula, and Mr. Dean of Al-Mansour University College, Professor Dr. Sabah Muhammed Kalow, and Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Shaker Salman, President of the Iraqi Association for Libraries and Information, and a blessed gathering of teachers and researchers from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education ministries and other institutions
The forum discussed working papers submitted by researchers on the reality of the work of school libraries and the most important obstacles that impede the work of libraries... The recommendations that will be presented to the Parliamentary Education Committee, the Ministries of Higher Education and Education, and the Iraqi Association for Libraries and Information have been approved.
At the end of the forum, gifts and prizes were distributed to the participants in the forum.
